The full report (60 pages) is available to OCA students on the student website – you need to be logged in.
The feedback has been translated into a model of the ideal study experience for OCA students. This is a rough prototype model, but provides a draft framework from which to develop a stronger student experience.
Gareth Dent (CEO) said this is a “major contribution to the thinking about how the OCA should develop and I am confident will inform how the OCA does develop”.
OCA are in the process of setting up a working group led by the Trustee Professor Patsy Cullen, who chairs the development committee, to examine how the OCA delivery model can be developed along the lines suggested by the research. Representatives would include OCASA, OCA staff and representatives from the tutor body and will have a remit from the board to plan for change.
A huge thank you to the students who gave their time to provide such in-depth feedback. And to everyone, please keep sharing your ideas and needs – you make a real difference.
