Tutor-led visit to the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2026 in Sheffield
This has come around so quickly - October seemed an age away, but suddenly summer is almost over and the trip is only a month away!
Here are the details for our visit to the CBP Prize exhibition with Joanna Whittle on 1 October. I’m just checking the timings with Joanna before advertising it more widely through OCASA, and I’ll let you know when that’s done.
We did a similar visit with Joanna two years ago for the last CBP Prize, and it was really informative and stimulating - and definitely not just for painters!

Join us for a visit to the Contemporary British Painting Prize exhibition in Sheffield. Joanna Whittle, an OCA tutor and winner of the CBP Prize in 2019, will give us a tour of the exhibition and chat with us about the work on show.
We’ll meet at the gallery, which is in Sheffield city centre and just a six-minute walk from the train station. Afterwards, we’ll find somewhere nearby to have lunch together.
It should be a really interesting and enjoyable day, and a good chance to meet up with other OCA students while seeing and talking about some contemporary painting.
