About the Event

Join a free, cross-sector panel hosted by The Open University as part of the Creative Coalition Festival 2023.

In 2021, Oxford Economics predicted that the creative sector would grow to a value of £132.1b and create 300,000 new jobs by 2025. Despite this opportunity, creatives considering further qualifications in Arts and Humanities subjects often question their employability, are unsure what career routes are open to them or even if there is a viable career for them in the creative sector.

This panel will approach the topic of creative skills education holistically - from the student and educator experience to the employer landscape and up to the level of national educational policy.

Sign up for the festival for free at Creative Coalition 2023 (hopin.com). Registrants will be sent a festival timetable and details of how to access this session.

Creative UK is the national network for the Creative Industries. We are an independent membership organisation that champions the value of the Creative Industries. At Creative UK, we support companies and people working in the creative sector by offering development opportunities at a local and national level, through our network of partners across the UK. We invest by identifying untapped potential to accelerate growth, providing tailor made resources and financial expertise. We do all of this because we believe in the power of creativity to change lives. To read our 2021 research publication into the power and potential of the creative industries, sponsored in part by The Open University, please click here.
