About the Event

When considering an audience for adult artwork (be that visual art, film, writing, etc.) often age isn't the first topic that comes to mind. We don't necessarily think about how to create a piece differently for a 30 year old, a 50 year old, or a 70 year old.

Yet creating art for a 5 year old, a 10 year old, and a 15 year old are all completely different tasks.

Work with award-winning children's author and OCA tutor Rab Ferguson, and explore what it means to create for young people, and how that affects the art we then choose to make across any age range.

This workshop includes

  • Exploring the differences between art created for different ages of children

  • Considering how focusing on our audience changes our art
