Creating Workshops for Young People

A key part of many artists and writer’s livelihoods is working as facilitators, supporting groups to be able to make their own creative work. Supporting young people in particular to be able to make art can be hugely rewarding, as well as providing a step forward into paid work as a creative.

In this workshop, you will:

• Plan your own creative session

• Learn about facilitation skills

• Explore how you can develop your own career as a facilitator

OCA tutor Rab Ferguson who will be leading the session has delivered creative workshops with young people aged 4-21 across the last 13 years, including around writing, photography, painting, drawing, comic-book making and theatre!
