'Do Not Make Art’ and Nine Other Strategies for Making Art

Join OCA tutor Dr Bryan Eccleshall for what should be two lively and stimulating sessions during which he will present ten strategies for improving or rethinking your creative practice.

Some of the advice is practical, but most of it is about changing your mindset in relation to what you do when you sit down or stand up to work. At the end of the two sessions, you should have a better handle on how to develop ideas in ways that make sense to but that could also be surprising, giving you loads to think about. Bryan will present the strategies in bite size pieces, it is hoped that there will be lots of discussion amongst the points he will make.

These sessions should be particularly useful to Stage One students grappling with the sometimes bewildering process of building a practice but they are likely to be useful to any OCA…
