About the Event
Menopause Creative Writing Workshop
Wednesday 30 November 10am GMT
Sometimes we don’t just lose that flow – the flow of our thoughts and our language can be affected.
This workshop gives us chance to flex the verbal and creative parts of our brain as well as providing a space to discuss our experience of and feelings about perimenopause and menopause.
We’ll explore the language we use to talk about the menopausal transition, discovering the words that feel right for each of us, and we’ll use a number of different, playful approaches to stimulate our writing on the subject.
The workshop is suitable for writers of all styles and levels of experience.
Helen Clare is a menopause educator and advocate, and also a prize-winning poet and author of Mollusc (Comma 2004) and Entomology (Happenstance 2014). She has a bad habit of stitching her words onto things.
