OCA Europe: Student talk with Peter Hungerford

As a photographer, I've been on a journey trying to capture the mystery and the beauty of the world through my lens. Born in the UK but residing in Switzerland for over 30 years, I've had the privilege of travelling to numerous corners of the globe.  I have found inspiration in the landscapes that I have seen, and recognise that they often evoke a sense of mystery and awe that transcends borders.

My work is a balance between heart and mind. Sometimes, it is the instinctive response to the raw emotions of a moment.  Other times, it's a calculated, deliberate process, emphasizing narrative, composition and technique. I'll talk about this balance and discuss the impact that the OCA course has had on my approach.

As part of my photography journey, I'll show some of my experimentation using AI in a project: "Fearing the Future - exploring the fear of technology" and look a little of what technology can bring to art.

I would hope that during this talk we can have discussions: what moves us to make art, how being an OCA student has changed our approach,  how we see our creativity being influenced (or not) by AI.
