About the Event

The next OCA-North Study Event will take place on Sunday 14th August from 1-4pm in Fletcher's Mill, Dean Clough Mills, Halifax HX3 5AX. Meet in the Weaver's Café next door to Crossley Gallery in D Mill, from 12md onwards for refreshments and chat beforehand.

I am delighted that Alice Bradshaw has agreed to join us.

Alice Bradshaw is an artist, curator and writer. She is interested in discarded, everyday materials and words. Recycling and repetition are important strategies in her work, which sets up a dialogue around the value of rubbish through objects, publications, exhibitions and events.

Current projects include Art Lab: A peer support group Alice founded in 2019 which is a peer group for artists and art practitioners to discuss their work, concurrent ideas and critical thinking based in Halifax. During Covid restrictions, we moved online like lots of others and expanded to an international membership. This first Art Lab…
