OCA Photography Social Group: Lucy Soutter

For our next event we are very pleased to welcome London based artist, critic, historian and academic Dr Lucy Soutter.  This online event is on Wednesday 14th October at 18:30 BST

In this talk, Lucy Soutter, author of Why Art Photography? will share some of the images and ideas explored in the forthcoming third edition of the book. She will trace recent shifts in the symbiotic relationship between art and fashion photography, illuminate ways that photographers around the world are working across various art forms and platforms, and explore the use of AI as a tool within various branches of photographic practice. What do these changes mean for how we understand the photographic image and its relationship to culture and institutions? How do they affect how photographers consider their work and future careers?
