OCA Photography Social Group: With Andrew Jackson

For our next event we are pleased to welcome  Andrew Jackson to speak to us on Wednesday 8th April at 18:30 BST.

Andrew is going to talk to us about his biographical work.  He is a British-Canadian artist whose work operates at the intersection of documentary and art-based practices.

"Jackson’s project presents an intimate portrayal of the intricate paths of our lives across multiple, transnational and intergenerational contexts. These thoughtful, tender photographs of loved ones, of the places where they lived, the homes they made, of that which they left behind, give us pause. Photography cannot provide but fragmentary glimpses into the past, yet here, the work invites visitors to consider points of connection within our vastly divided yet deeply interconnected world: what lies between then and now, there and here, wherever and whenever we might find ourselves in this movement.
