Study visit: OCA student group show – Saturday, 13th May; includes art walk project and artist led studio and exhibition visit, Nottingham.
Join us for a cross discipline exhibition on a study visit led by OCA tutor Diana Ali at the Surface Gallery, Nottingham.
The theme of the exhibition is Mental Health and participating artists are Catherine Levey, Catherine D’Arcy-Saunders, and Allan O’Neill.
Catherine Levey’s work (image above) focuses on her own emotional response to the stories of people with mental health issues. It reflects her interest in people and years working in the field of mental health. This will be her degree show for her Painting BA.
Catherine D’Arcy-Saunders has also worked in mental health for many years. Her abstract work explores the interface between thoughts and feelings and how this can manifest in terms of anxiety and related worry. She is on the Painting BA pathway.
