OCA Student Talk: Martin Hoare

Join Martin Hoare and Bryan Eccleshall for a presentation and discussion of Martin's BA Hons Drawing graduating work.

Drawing Green Lanes is an ongoing project to draw a one-mile section of Green Lanes, a busy shopping street in north London. The project was started in September 2025 with the aim of making a series of drawings that includes every shop along this one-mile section of road, this will be around 200 shop fronts when finished, there is still a lot of drawing to be done!

The work in progress will be exhibited 5th to 28th June at the All Good Bookshop on Turnpike Lane. The talk will expand on how the project formed from making a single drawing on location and turned into an expansive project, and the experience of organising and setting up a solo exhibition of the work in a local gallery space within a book shop.
