About the Event
Please join Programme Tutor Clare Wilson as she hosts an artist talk by BA (Hons) Painting student Suzanne Conboy-Hill on Wednesday 24 June at 6pm.
Suzanne will discuss her painting practice, her experience of stage three study and how it is culminating in her publication 'Frogfall - stories in paint, words and imagination.'
I once described my cognitive processing as more helicopter than long-haul flight. My clinical practice was with a population, not a disorder, my fiction is short stories, not novels and, after a more structured start, my approach to art practice is no different. I don’t begin a painting knowing what I’m going to paint, I start with a randomly chosen canvas, put colour on it and wait for something to emerge. I edit reality. There’s usually a story at the end. Everyone is welcome!
