Photography Social Group - Constructed Images, Discussion

The selection of photographs chosen for discussion are all constructed in some way. This includes performance art, still life, and photo montage. 

The title of the discussion, “Where is the art?” seems to be crucial for understanding these photographs.

The session will begin with a discussion about what we consider constructed photographs to be, and whether it is the subject, the photograph or both which can be considered as art. We will then look at a selection of images from a number of photographers chosen to show a range of ways in which images are constructed.

The more we talk together, the more we will all learn. There are no wrong answers, so please join in if you feel you can. It's a great opportunity to try out the kinds of things you might say at a peer review session but with no tutor present!

'Open Mic' - Following the presentation at each meeting there will be a 30 minute informal 'open mic' session for those who wish to discuss the presentation further, photography in general, or the Photography Social Group.7:30 pm - 8:00 pm
