Mending and repair Workshop and Padlet.

Join OCA tutor Jenny Udale in this workshop. Students will be sent a link to a padlet which will contain links to information around mending and repair including current practitioners, historical examples and demonstrations. Students are asked to engage in the padlet, looking at the links and then to do their own further research into the topic. They will add an example of mending or repair ( current or historical) that they have found from their research onto the padlet, to share with the group. They will also need to identify a garment or object to repair and through their research learn techniques that they could use to repair it, sharing this on the padlet.  

Students will be invited to the mending workshop where they will bring the garment or object they wish to repair using a technique they have already researched.  We will then work together for an hour repairing our object or garment and discuss the process in an informal setting. Students are asked to share a picture of their item before and after the repair to the padlet and any information around the story of the piece and the act of the repair.

Open to all students across disciplines. Everyone is Welcome but places are limited.
