About the Event
Elizabeth Woodger is interdisciplinary photographic artist with a professional background in Earth science research. As a former geoscientist, Elizabeth's creative practice represents a form of environmental and ecological research; she investigates how landscapes have been shaped and how they respond to human influence.
She is also a former photography student at the Open College of the Arts, but to describe Elizabeth as a 'photographer' would be rather too limiting. While her photographic practice embraces both traditional and experimental techniques and processes, Elizabeth has also produced site-specific work, underwater sound recordings and projected her work onto the Cheddar Gorge. Even the briefest glimpse at her website reveals a most singular, committed and inventive artist.
We're delighted to announce that Elizabeth will be joining OCA tutor Andrew Conroy for an In Conversation session that will explore her practice, her interest in space and place, and whatever else happens to come…
