About the Event

You know the feeling. You want to make things. You have the materials, the ideas, maybe even the time, and yet…


Behavioural science has a name for this: the intention-behaviour gap. It is among the most well-documented phenomena in psychology, and it shows up everywhere, including in creative practice. I like to call that one the crib gap, or creative intention-behaviour gap. The crib gap is not about talent or discipline. It is about specific psychological and social conditions that either support or undermine sustained making.


In this workshop, we will use a self-assessment tool called The Practice Wheel to map those conditions for your own practice. You will identify your primary creative barrier, explore your creative purpose through a guided exercise, and leave with one concrete intention to help you close your own crib gap!
