SVF26: Tina Marshall - Student Talk

Please join Art Student Tina Marshall who is studying Painting. Tina will discuss her practice with wood.

“My background is in environmental science and I also have a BSc in IT and Spanish. My interests link art with the environment although science and arts can have completely different thought processes.

A 15 ft piece of oak was found on Keiss beach, and we are making it into artefacts and signage. We also have made coasters with sycamore from Dunnet Forest. This micro talk will look at green wood turning and how we are treating the oak and mounting bog myrtle and other items from our biodiversity library on it.”
