About the Event

I was asked for a short blurb about myself, but it feels no easier than writing a Level 3 BA artist statement. True to form, as an expert procrastinator (as many in OCA will remember)  it was due at the end of May and finished on the 29th!

Here’s the professional bit:

“With a BA (Hons) in Textiles and an MA in Fine Art from OCA, I create realistic, abstract, and conceptual pastel studies of fungi, supported by ongoing research. My work explores their ecological role in woodlands and cities, and the links between nature and the human body. Through conceptual work, I also move beyond traditional botanical themes to examine human-fungi relationships and the darker, gothic aspects of a neurodiverse mind.”

…I also draw cats as a side hustle and to sharpen my skills … and often purely just for fun!

Everyone Welcome!
