Zoom meeting 25 January 2026 at 4pm

Hi everyone,

We’re having a Zoom meeting in January and would love for you to join! We’ll be planning trips and visits for 2026 and talking about ways to get more members involved in activities.

It’s a great chance to meet others, make friends, chat about our courses, and get ideas for group visits and workshops. If you haven’t joined a meeting before, this is the perfect opportunity to see what it’s all about - we really want to hear what you’d like from the group.

Feel free to come with ideas or just come along to listen and get a feel for things. There will also be a chance to share a piece of your recent work from your course, which is always fascinating as we do different courses and it’s inspiring to see what everyone else is creating.

Hi Margaret, this is a great idea, perhaps we can arrange a date in February when we have the zoom meeting on 25th January? I'm going next week but happy to go again with our group

Wow, what a superb day out visiting two galleries yesterday in Sheffield! Eight members of the OCA North Study Group - a diverse team of painters, drawers, photographers and fine artists from across the OCA curriculum - met with Joanna Whittle - acclaimed artist, curator and OCA tutor - to enjoy a private viewing of two exhibitions Joanna is curating. After a sociable lunch, we then visited Persistence Works for the exhibition Unquiet Landscapes, in which 38 contemporary painters depict works which reference elements from the book of the same name by Christopher Neve, itself a wonderful meditation on 20th Century landscape art (https://www.contemporarybritishpainting.com/unquiet-landscapes-at-yorkshire-artspace-sheffield/). Joanna's insightful and engaging commentary on the curation process and on…
