Unfortunately, I keep missing No Easy Answers because Wednesday is my longest work day. The AI transcript is interesting. Thanks. I did wonder along these lines, though I have no academic references to cite so maybe this is just garbage. As best I understand, which maybe is not very well, time is not a fundamental part of reality, but rather an emergent phenomenon, perhaps connected with consciousness. Looked at this way, there is no past or future, only now: memory and anticipation are phenomena of the now, not an actual past or future. So all these cultural manifestations of the past are just versions of now, just variants of the present. I don't know how far that gets us though - even if true, it may be an impractical approach. Maybe it's just been a long day and I'm meandering.
