Reminder: OCA North Sheffield visit this Thursday
Just a reminder that our OCA North visit to the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2026 in Sheffield is this Thursday, 1 October.
Thursday 1 October 2026, 11.00 am
Persistence Works, 21 Brown Street, Sheffield, S1 2BS
Joanna Whittle, OCA tutor and winner of the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2019, will give us a tour of the exhibition and chat with us about the work on show.
We’ll meet outside the gallery at 11.00 am. Persistence Works is in Sheffield city centre, just a six-minute walk from the train station.
Afterwards, we’ll find somewhere nearby to have lunch together, and for anyone who would like to make a day of it, there’s also the option of visiting exhibitions at the Millennium and Graves Galleries.
It should be a really interesting and enjoyable day, and a lovely opportunity to meet up with other OCA students and spend some time looking at and talking about contemporary painting.
Hope to see you there!
Really enjoyed this visit. Thank you to all concerned.
Hope to attend another event and hopefully will see people again.
Best wishes Bidi
