Exhibition: Norman Adams - The Artist In His Environment

Till 25th May, 11:00 – 17:00

A large exhibition of Norman Adams paintings from the 1950s to 2004 will be held. The exhibition will include a number of larger works in both oil and watercolour, demonstrating both Norman's range of subject matter and breadth of vision.

This is an opportunity to see a large and representative selection of Norman’s paintings.Norman Adams RA (1927 - 2005) and his wife, the artist and poet Anna Adams lived at the Royal Academy when he had the prestigious and important role as Keeper from 1986 to 1995.An exhibition of his work was held in the main Royal Academy galleries in 1988.

That exhibition had the title: Colour Chart of A Way, highlighting Norman’s reputation as a superb colourist.
