I just had a look at The Madman's Gallery: The Strangest Paintings, Sculptures and Other Curiosities From the History of Art, mentioned in the OCASA email. Some of these are so much fun and equally grotesque! I admire the artists for not being afraid to create and put these out there in the world. Some of the thought processes behind these works interest me. When viewing art, particularly on social media, sometimes it’s purely about aesthetics, looking beautiful and presenting perfection. I like art that doesn’t conform and challenges people’s ideas about what is ‘normal’ and what is beautiful! 😄
