In July 2025 we published a post about our Everydays project which had been running since February 2024. You can read that post here.
A lot has happened in the last year so we thought we would publish an update! The Everydays project has gone from strength to strength and in the last year we have had 20 people contribute to the project - some everyday and others when they can. In early 2026 we successfully applied for joint funding from the OCA Enterprise Enhancement Scheme in order to try to grow the project. The £300 we were awarded allowed us to look at more substantial ways of publishing the work that our contributors posted on our threads account. We decided we needed a dedicated home or space so we created a website - https://everydays.photography/ - but also that we wanted to produce something more tangible, and this is where things got really interesting!
Working with former OCA student Caroline Black, we designed a zine with the photographs we had taken in our first year and had it printed in June 2026 - Volume 1 in the bag! Straight away we started working on Volume 2 and we wanted to include everyone who had contributed for the first year of the project - Volume 2 was also printed in June 2026. The work didn’t end there as we are now working on Volume 3 which will include photographs from the 20 people who have contributed over the last
year. All of the zines are available for purchase from our website - link above - with the money generated used to fund future editions, effectively becoming self-sustaining.
If you think you’d like to get involved then all you need to do is take one photograph that day - of absolutely anything - and share it to that day's post on the @everydayscollective Threads account. If you aren’t familiar with the platform just make sure you reply to @everydayscollective for the relevant day and not someone else’s reply to the post, otherwise yours won’t automatically be seen. If you can't commit to a post everyday, then maybe just do some days, and if you don’t want to join in at all, maybe just support it and give it a follow or the occasional like/comment. Or share with others who you think might like to join and benefit.
